Our town was testing the sewers somehow using audio tones to measure something. Maybe resonant frequency or something like that. It sounded vey musical since they were using 3 tones per octave, like a scale based on an augmented fifth chord.

When i recorded the pump is in operation, you may hear the rhythmic sound of the handle being moved up and down, as well as the sound of water being sucked up from the ground and pushed up through the riser pipe and in addition to the sounds of the pump itself, you may also hear other ambient sounds in the village, such as the chatter of people going about their daily activities, the sounds of animals.

I have generated a sound ( sinusoidal, 300hz) and i have altered it with the level tool. Then, i have added a pluck ( pitch 114) and reversed it. I have created a “white noise” which i have stuck after the pluck. Finally, i have generated a sound ( sinusoidal, 1000hz). I have put it at the end and altered it with the level tool. An long escalator i recorded in atlanta. The escalator was very noisy, and produced a kind of whining electrical sound that sounded almost spiritual. I do not know if the transcendent beauty of the escalator is captured sufficiently here, but i figured someone might be able to use it! there are a few faint voices in the background.

A recording that i did on a shoot for some ambient sound while in a small 10' motor boat. The motor runs for a little while but then turns off and the sound of the boat just floating in the water can be heard. The mic is moved around a bit to get a few samples of different perspectives.
